Baby Shower 4-4-09

Some of my presents

Me at 33 Weeks

Ultrasound 4-10-09 Revealed some BIG news

I had my ultrasound today to check to see how things were going and to make sure that I was not going into pre-term labor. Well, good news, I am not going into labor! Thank goodness.

As they do for every ultrasound, they take measurements of his body, head, legs and so on. Well, the nurse said are you ready for some big news? I said I guess. Well, she said Landon weighs 6 lbs. 11 oz. I said What?! Are you kidding me? But, I am only 34 weeks. He's only supposed to weigh 5 lbs! She said yep, you have a porker!

Of course still in shock she told me that my due date was pushed up from May 22nd to May 1st. I said WOW that is a huge jump.

I go back in a weeks to see my O.B. and then after that have another ultrasound to check his weight, and that say they will decide whether they will induce me that day or if I will have a c-section that day.

So, sooner than we thought, Lee and I's baby boy will be here! And we are both excited. Maybe he will be born around my birthday at the end of April!

But, I guess that if you have 2 parents that were both very big at birth, you are destined to have big babies. Hey its fine with me as long as he is healthy and thats all that matters!

Till Next Time

Here we go again....

Early this morning I had to make another trip to the hospital. I had been awake since 12:00 a.m. cause Landon was not moving at all. I hadnt felt him since earlier the night before. So, I tried to do all the tricks that I could possibly think of to get him to move, and nothing would work.

So, at 4:30 this morning I called the hospital and explained my situation and asked them what I should do. Well, they told me that I need to come in right away and should ahve came in much sooner.

So, I arrived at the hospital and they immediatly hooked me up to the fetal monitoring machine and of course they second they put down the heartbeat monitor, you hear Landons wonderful heartbeat. 155 Beats. Thank God. I definitly gave a huge sigh of relief.

They finished hooking me up to the machines and watched what he would do. Well, Landon wasw showing off and was moving like crazy but, I could not feel it all. They were worried about that so they said that they wanted to do an ultrasound to check my fluid level.

They wheel in what looks like the worlds most oldest ultrsound machine around and begin to hook me up to it. the minute they put the wand down, they said well we know why you can t feel as much, your placenta is in front and is preventing you from feeling some of his movements. I gave another sigh of relief. They said that this is ok and that its not hurting anyone. Then, they checked my fluid levels and they said that they were amazing! Whoo Hoo!!! And here comes the greatest news of all........HE IS NO LONGER BREECH!!!!! He flipped over in the past few weeks and is preparing to make his way into the world!!! YAY!!! They showed me what he looks like, and they took some pictures of our beautiful son, so that I can send them to daddy. These pictures arent really that great, but I will do my best to help you identlify what is what.

Blessings,

Sarah

Another Trip to the Hospital......Ugggh

Had to make another trip to the hospital today. I woke up yesterday morning and this morning feeling very lightheaded and weak. I ate breakfast, kept drinking fluids of course and waited to see if I felt any better. Well an hour went by and if anything, I felt worse. So, I called my Dr. and asked him what to do and he said to eat lunch and see how I feel afterwards. Well, I ate lunch and didnt feel any better, so I called my friend Kristen and told her to come and pick me up and take me to the hospital.

When we got there they put on the "pads"(is what I call them) but, they listen for the baby's heartbeat and movement and the other tells me if I am contracting. Well, good news I wasnt contracting. We heard Landons wonderful heartbeat and him just moving about, and later on we heard him get the hiccups. It was so cute to hear that. I called Daddy and let him hear his sons heartbeat over the phone, he loved it.

Landon was fine, which was all I was worried about, but I was dehydrated. So, they pumped some fluids in me, and I felt so much better after they did. I was much perkier and nausea and headache has subsided. Thank goodness.

I am home now, and drinkin' my water!!! I am going to rest up and take it easy.

As I was leaving the hospital the Labor and Delivery Nurses said we will see you in 9 weeks to get that little boy out! Yay! 9 weeks to go. I am ready let me tell you.

Till Next Time,
Sarah

30 weeks

This is me at 30 weeks at my friends pinning ceremony

Greetings!

Went to the Dr. today for my 30 week Check up! and it went very well!

Landons heartbeat is a strong and steady 152 beats. They said that he is healthy and doing well. He is currently in the breech position which is where his feet are down and his head is under my rib cage. I asked the dr. to show me where he was at using his hands and I can now tell you where is head is and where his butt is. Its so neat.

I told the dr. that I was feeling alot of pressure on my cervix and that it usually came with pain. He said since Landon is in the breech poistion, his butt or feet is pushing down on my pubic bone and causing pain. OH BOY!!

We went over my test results for my glucose testing and I passed with flying colors!!! The first time!!! This is the test that tests you for Gestational Diabetis, and I dont have it, which is great!

Lastly he said since I am so healty and Landon is so healthy, he wanted to wait another 4 weeks till he see's me again and then after that I will go every week. I will also have my last ultrasound! I cant wait to see him again!!!

Till next time!!

Update 3-09-09

Its been a while since I updated! Sorry! I am now almost 30 weeks pregnant! Whoo Hoo! The end is near! Lee and I cannot wait to meet our little boy. I feel him kick more and more everyday. I have a appointment tomorrow, then I go every two weeks, and that signals the end is near!! YAY!!!

Lee is and has been in Minnesota for the past week and will be there until the end of March. Im sad, but, its a sacrafice we both have to make, but after this trip Lee will be home, cause at that point I could go anytime. But, Lee everyday asks what Landon had been doing and he keeps saying that he cannot wait to see him and hold him. That just warms my heart. The morning that he left, he sat there and just rubbed my belly. I know that it is hard for him to be away from us, but it will all be worth it in the end.

I have been piddling around home.....hanging out with Ricky. I am trying to keep myself busy, I have been cleaning Landons crib and room and bedding. I have also been washing his clothes. I have a shower that my best friend is throwing me, at the end of March and then after that, Its time Sarah takes it easy so I dont go too early. I cannot wait till the Baby Shower! I am so excited!!!

Then theres Ricky. Our first "Little Boy" He is getting more and more protective of my belly. He sleeps next to my belly and lays his head on it, and at times puts his paw on it and will flip out when Landon kicks. He's so funny. A friend of mine stopped by and was rubbing my belly, Ricky popped up and began to growl at her and bark cause her hand was on my belly. When she took her hand off, he stopped. I am hoping that when Landon does get here, that he wont be jealous.

Well Im going to sign off now, I will let you all know how my appointment goes tomorrow!!

Blessings
